BOOOOOYAHHHH!
Thank God, our neighborhood didn't have any power outages. The lights flickered a couple of times and the internet was a bit slow and sometimes conked out for a few minutes. Other than that, we had an uneventful weekend.
The snow starting coming down in flurries around 10 am on Saturday 3/13/2021. It was wet and depressing when we looked outside. The weatherman (who should never be trusted but for some odd reason we believe them wholeheartedly) said the storm would start Friday night and cautioned all of us Denverites to not make plans that night. Like a faithful follower, I didn't make any plans. The last thing I wanted to do was go to someone's house and be stuck there all weekend. Depending on the friend, that might not be a terrible thing but...didn't really want to risk it.
By Sunday morning, we had maybe 6 inches and it kept coming down all day!!! I tried going out around 1 pm that afternoon, but the snow was in my face. I took a few pictures and headed back inside. A few cars had gotten stuck on our street. I hadn't seen a plow once the whole day. A few Jeeps and Ford trucks have gotten through no problem, of course. Many people were outside during the afternoon brushing off their cars or helping others gain traction as they tried to proceed to their destinations.
Monday morning rolled around it was calm and sunny. According to reports, we just had the 4th largest (though some say 2nd) snowstorm in Colorado history!! Big deal!! As I always do, I walked around the neighborhood to take some pictures. Enjoy!
